In winter most plants have dropped their foliage making it extra challenging to identify tree and shrub species. Join naturalist Tom Walker in this half mile walk along the Old Colony Nature Pathway to learn how to distinguish native and naturalized plants without their summer leaves or flowers. Participants will learn about bark characteristics, branching patterns, buds, fruits, habitat preferences and a little bit of history along the Provincetown Greenway - our natural gem which is home to white cedar swamps, and rare flora and fauna.
