Jane Weissman
Jane Weissman spent 35 years in the clean energy sector moving technologies like solar photovoltaics into mainstream use. For over two decades she was President and CEO of the Interstate Renewable Energy Council, a national policy organization. Jane received numerous national awards for her policy work and leadership including special Congressional recognition. She now enjoys historical research and combines narratives with vintage images and current photographs.
A recent life event was sailing the Mekong River in 2017 and then again in 2018 logging around 800 miles through Laos, Cambodia and South Vietnam.
Jane’s newest work is Food, Females and Rails – Hidden Stories of the Women Who Shaped Train Travel (2022). Other work includes The Mekong – A River of Contrast and Change (2018, revised 2020), The Provincetown Railroad Heritage Trail – Self-guided Provincetown Railroad Tour (2020) and The Provincetown Railroad – The Tracks of Change 2nd Edition (2021).
Jane splits her time between Boston and Provincetown and is an avid Red Sox fan.
